Is there a preparation course?YES, you can attend a "MOS 2010 Preparation course" followed by the applicable MOS 2010 exam at completion of the course. We run a two day preparation course for complete beginners and a one day course for intermediate to advanced users of office 2010.
By attending one of these courses you will obtain all the preparation and support you need to help you pass your chosen exam. The preparation course includes training, test taking tips, 1 live exam, 1 practice test and 1 free re-sit should you fail, Lunch and refreshments throughout are also provided. On completion and passing your exam you will receive an official certificate from Microsoft, which is posted direct to you.

What is a Proctor Fee?A Proctor fee is paid to the Authorised Testing Centre for the hire of the room in order for you to sit your exam. You may have a voucher because you have purchased this from another provider or you might have been given a free re-sit voucher if you have failed your exam, in these cases you will need to pay a proctor fee to use our testing centre to sit your exam or practice test.

ABOUT THE EXAMSThe exams feature real-world assignments that are based on the way you actually use Microsoft programmes on your computer. Using an actual document, for example, you'll be asked to perform a series of tasks that demonstrate your desktop computing skills.

How long does a typical exam take?All exams take between 50 minutes and one hour. Scoring of answers is based on the end result, not on the route or time taken to complete the task. Errant keystrokes or mouse clicks will not count against your score as long as you achieve the correct end result.

When will I get my results?Test results are immediately displayed and printed as soon as the test is completed.

What are the levels and types of certification?The MOS 2010 programme offers three levels of certification for each version and you can start at any level depending on your experience. The levels are Core, Expert and Master.

MICROSOFT OFFICE SPECIALIST 2010 CERTIFICATION MOS 2010 examinations are available in the six following applications:
Microsoft Word 2010, Microsoft Excel 2010, Microsoft PowerPoint 2010, Microsoft Access 2010, Microsoft Outlook 2010.
If an MOS 2010 exam in any application is passed then you will achieve MOS 2010 status in that application.
To achieve the Masters you must pass a total of 4 exams. They must be a combination of 2 Expert Level and 2 Core Level and they must also be in different applications. Those available are Microsoft Word Expert 2010, Excel Expert 2010, PowerPoint 2010, and Outlook 2010. Access 2010 is an optional exam.

About the Microsoft Office 2010 CertificationMICROSOFT OFFICE CORE SPECIALIST This level of certification indicates that a user can handle a wide range of everyday desktop computing tasks. It is available for MS Word 2010, MS Excel 2010, MS PowerPoint 2010, MS Access 2010, MS Outlook 2010.
MICROSOFT OFFICE EXPERT SPECIALIST This level of certification indicates a user can also handle more complex assignments that require advanced formatting and functionality. It is currently available for Word 2010, Excel 2010. This level is for the more advanced user.
MICROSOFT OFFICE MASTER To achieve the Masters you must pass a total of 4 exams. They must be a combination of 2 Expert Level and 2 Core Level and they must also be in different applications. Those available are Word 2010 Expert, Excel 2010 Expert, PowerPoint 2010, and an elective exam from either Access 2010 or Outlook 2010.
